The Salvage of the Great Britain
Falkland Islands 1969

File number: ssbw0033

© South American Pictures/ Marion Morrison

Part of the original carved wooden crest of the Great Britain. It was found washed up on a beach, and the letters 'nse' - from the motto honi y soit qui mal y pense can be seen at the base.
