Falkland Islands 1969

File number: ssab0117

© South American Pictures/ Marion Morrison

Watched by the crew of the Falkland Islands MV Forrest in the background, divers attempt to locate the end of the bowsprit in water close to the Great Britain. Thick beds of kelp - a seaweed - hampered the search. The kelp beds show on the surface.
