Teotihuacán, Mexico. The Avenue - or Causeway - of the Dead (Calzados de los Muertos) runs south from the Pyramid of the Moon (Pirámide de la Luna) for about 2km. It originally extended a further 1.5 km. The name is a misnomer because the Aztecs mistakenly believed their ancestors were buried in the buildings around the avenue.
