Peru / Ñusta Isspana / Chuquepalta, the site is best known for the large white rock [Yurak Rumi] and spring. The outline of the rock appears trace the ridge of the distant hills. The rock is immense and carved extensively. It was a sacred place in Inca times and became a route marker for the early Spanish writers describing Vilcabamba, the final hiding place of the Incas.
