Peru. Vilcabamba range and Rosaspata / Vitcos. This area was a sacred place for the Inca and the flat area is covered with over twenty constructions and plazas. Vitcos was mentioned by 16th century Spanish chronclers as a landmark on the route to the last hiding place of the Inca known as Vilcabamba. The area in this picture is sometimes known as the Great Plaza. An entrance door is incomplete.
