Peru. Vilcabamba range and Rosaspata / Vitcos. This area was a sacred place for the Inca and the flat area is covered with over twenty constructions and plazas. Vitcos was mentioned by 16th century Spanish chronclers as a landmark on the route to the last hiding place of the Inca known as Vilcabamba. The stonework is typically late Inca although some doorways are of finely cut stone.
