Inca walling was constructed without the use of mortar, and the stone blocks were so finely carved that the blade of a knife will not pass between them. One of the best examples of Inca stonework is the 12-cornered stone found in Calle Hatunrumioc (Inca Hathun'rumioq) in the Inca capital, Cuzco, Peru.
