The god of rain, Tlaloc, was one of the most important Aztec gods, being also associated with hail, ice, snow, floods, clouds, drought,thunder and lightning. (This massive stone sculpture has also been said to represent his female counterpart or sister - the water goddess Chalchiúhtlicue). Museo Nacional de Antropología Mexico City.
